Ahead of the Manchester Derby, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was asked whether striker Sergio Aguero would be getting a starting place in the team to which his answer was “No.”
Guardiola explained why Aguero cannot start yet, stating “He’s had three or four training sessions and the reaction was good. He had 25 minutes and scored a goal. Step by step. Will see the reaction tomorrow.”
Sergio Aguero has been out of action since October due to a hamstring injury but came off the bench against Marseille to score Man City’s second goal in a 3-0 win.
Manchester City travel to Old Trafford on Saturday, December 12 to face their rivals Manchester United in a crunch derby game. Both United and City have not had the best of starts to the season, sitting 6th and 7th in the league table respectively although both have a game in hand.
