
Manchester City hosted Chelsea at Etihad in the Game Week 22 of the Premier League on Saturday.
The home team started the match with a 4-3-3 flat formation.

Ederson (gk), Walker, Stones, Laporte, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva, Sterling, Grealish, Foden.
The visitor’s team started with a 3-4-2-1 formation.
Their playing eleven was-
Kepa(gk), Rudiger, Silva, Sarr, Alonso, Kovacic, Kanté, Azpillicueta, Pulisic, Ziyech, Lukaku.
In the 7th minute of the game, Marcus Alonso got a yellow when he brought down Sterling on the wing.
The first quarter of the game was controlled by Man City as expected with possession of 61 % to Chelsea’s 39 %. But none of the goalkeepers was tested on either side of the pitch, The first shot on target was made by De Bryune in the 23rd minute of the game.
This was the first game in which the Blue’s were not able to register a single shot on target on the opposition’s goal in 27 minutes in the Premier League. Kovacic received a yellow card on the 32nd minute when he tackled Bernardo Silva. Kepa had to make a save after Grealish was gifted the ball by a blind pass from Kovacic in the 39th minute.
The first half of the match was a dull performance from Chelsea as they were sloppy and had less energy in the final third of the pitch, whereas Manchester City was also not at their very best and had a few chances to score the goal.
The second half started on a high note for Chelsea as Lukaku registered the first shot on target for Chelsea in the first couple of minutes. In the 62nd minute, Kepa had to make a routine save from De Bryune’s freekick. De Bryune’s Brilliant Strike in the 70th minute put Citizen’s ahead 1-0 in the match. The matchwinner De Bruyne was replaced by Gundogan in the 84th minute.
In the second half, Chelsea played better but City emerge victorious after a belter of a strike from Kevin de Bryune which extended the Citizen’s lead at the top of the table to 13 points in the Premier League.
