Manchester City crush Arsenal by 5-0 in a one sided game

Pep Guardiola’s side tears 10-man Arsenal apart by beating them 5-0 on their home turf.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City took an early lead on the 9th minute when Gabriel Jesus whipped in a deep cross to the back post of the net, as captain Illkay Gundogan completely out-jumped Callum Chambers in the air to score a beautiful header to beat Bernd Leno to open City’s lead. Arsenal had a brilliant start but only to concede a goal with their clueless defence at the back. 5 minutes later, City went 2-0 when Bernardo Silva’s sizzling cross somehow evaded the whole Gunners defence only to find Ferran Torres for a simple tap-in.

Arsenal almost went close to score a goal when Man City’s keeper Ederson made a huge blunder only for  Emile-Smith Rowe to get his shot wide leaving Mikel Arteta disappointed. Arsenal’s were soon down to 10 men as Granit Xhaka was awarded a red card by referee Martin Atkinson on 35 minutes. Soon, City was 3-0 as Grealish made a good run only for Gabriel Jesus to finish as he slides the shot beating Leno again as City lead 3-0 in the first half.

The city starts the second half with various counter-attacking plays as Arsenal found it difficult to cope up. 7 minutes later, City is 4-0 when Rodri takes a smashing shot from 25 yards to beat Leno again on the bottom right, crushing Arsenal’s hopes. In the 84th minute, City were 5 up when Ferran Torres heads home his second goal after a cross from Riyad Mahrez.

Man City beats Arsenal 5-0 as they displayed an unbelievable and strong performance. The city will now play against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, meanwhile clueless Arsenal play against Norwich City.
