Manchester City beats 10-men RB Leipzig in a thrilling 9-goal match which ended with a scoreline of 6-3

Manchester City has started their UEFA Champions League campaign with an exquisite win over RB Leipzig. Five different scorers for City including the newcomer Jack Grealish, who got his first goal in the Champions League.

The English club Manchester City has started their Champions League season with an emphatic victory over 10-men RB Leipzig. The thrilling 9-goal game ended with a scoreline of 6-3 to the English side. The game was indeed fantastic as it was raining goals in the Etihad Stadium (Manchester City home stadium). So many scorers for Manchester City helped them to finish the game with a three-goal advantage. RB Leipzig’s winger Christopher Nkunku scored a hat-trick for his team but it was not enough for the German side to win over the Premier League defending champions.

There was no shortage of Entertainment as goals kept on coming in both halves. The first scorer in this match was Nathan Ake, a Manchester City defender who had his first Champions League goal with an amazing header in the 16th minute. The City’s second goal was an own goal by the Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele. Later in the first half, Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring for RB Leipzig in the 42nd minute before City’s winger Riyad Mahrez converted from the penalty spot to extend the lead to 3-1.

RB Leipzig never seemed out of this game as they were kept on attacking throughout the second half. They (Leipzig) got their second in the 51st minute with a header again from their star winger Nkunku. Just when the away side was thinking of making a comeback in the game, Jack Grealish restored City’s two-goal advantage in the 56th minute. The goal was the English midfielder’s (Jack Grealish) first UCL goal. RB Leipzig’s 23-year-old winger completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute before Manchester City’s right-back Joao Cancelo scored a stunning goal in the bottom left corner of the goal. With 5 minutes to go for the final whistle, Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus scored a conciliation goal for the English side and made the score 6-3 for the last season’s Premier League champions.
