Man United to part ways with Antony?

Manchester United are planning to discontinue with Antony as the forward hasn’t performed as per the expectations.

Manchester United’s forward Antony could be out of the club in the upcoming January transfer window as the Brazilian is reportedly not performing as per the expectations of the owners as well as the manager (Erik ten Hag). Manager Erik ten Hag wanted the player to shine at Old Trafford just like he did in Ajax FC under him. Antony was bought for 86.3 million Euros two years ago.

The Brazilian winger is finding it difficult to become the starter in the team due to lack of his goal contributions. Erik ten Hag who gave a regular start to the forward in his first season is playing him as a substitute in most of the games in the current season. Antony has failed to score or assists in any of his 20 Premier League appearances so far and thus Erik is likely to go out in the window looking out for his replacement.

Manchester United is also not performing the way they did last year as they are on the 6th position in the English Premier League points table and struggling to chase down the top 4 spot. Antony’s exit hasn’t been confirmed yet but many reports suggests that club is trying to part ways with the Brazilian.
