Manchester City faced their first defeat of the 2023 Premier League season as they went down 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux stadium on a dramatic Saturday evening.

Ruben Dias, a usually dependable presence at the back, scored an own goal, handing Wolverhampton an early lead. The Molineux stadium erupted with joy, as the underdogs saw an opportunity to upset the reigning champions.
However, Manchester City, known for their resilience, fought back. The second half saw a good City side, with Julian Alvarez scoring the equalizer in the 56th minute. The Argentine forward’s clinical finish help City come back into the match, and City supporters hoped for a comeback. But Wolverhampton had other plans. Korean sensation Hwang Hee-chan emerged as the hero for the Wolves, scoring the winning goal in the 66th minute.
