Man City agree to pay Haaland 500,000 pounds per week

Manchester City has agreed on terms over a deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.

Over the last few months, there has been growing speculation that Manchester City will beat Real Madrid and Barcelona to the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, subject to the activation of a £63 million release clause in the summer.

According to reports from Daily Mail, Manchester City has agreed on personal terms with the Borussia Dortmund superstar’s agent Mino Raiola, which will see Haaland become the highest-paid player in the Premier League with a weekly income of more than £500,000.

According to the report, Haaland is poised to sign a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, where the Norwegian forward will earn more than Kevin De Bruyne after talks between City and the attacker’s camp progressed significantly this week. Now the only remaining thing for the Premier League champions will be to trigger the release clause in the striker’s current contract and reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund so that they can seal the deal.

The Norwegian striker first came into the limelight through his performances for RB Salzburg where he scored 29 goals in just 27 games. Since his move to Germany in 2020, Haaland has made a name for himself as one of the deadliest finishers in world football with a record of 80 goals in just 81 games.

After the departure of Sergio Aguero, the Citizens have been looking to bolster their centre-forward options and get a long-term replacement. They failed to complete the transfer of Tottenham’s Harry Kane in the summer. Under the management of Pep Guardiola and playing with the stars in the City squad can help Haaland take his game to the next level.
