Liverpool win the Merseyside derby

Liverpool defeated Everton by 2-0 in the English Premier League on Monday night.

Liverpool FC played the last game of the gameweek 22 on Monday night,13th February in the English Premier League. It was a ‘Mersyside Derby’. Liverpool FC were against their old rivals Everton FC who have recently changed their manager as Sean Dyche replaced Frank Lampard.

Liverpool FC defeated Everton FC by 2-0 on Monday night to get the important three points from the game. It was a dominating performance from the Jurgen Klopp’s side who are struggling to find the wins this season not only in the English Premier League but in the domestic leagues as well.

Two goals were scored in this game, one in each half to make Liverpool the winners of the ‘Mersyside Derby’. Mohamed Salah scored the first goal which came in the 36th minute.

Their newly signed forward Cody Gakpo recorded his first goal for the club in this fixture as he scored in the beginning of the second half. Gakpo’s goal was the winner and Everton FC were defeated after their win over Arsenal FC last week.
