Liverpool has come back with a bang this season, with a 0-3 win against Norwich. After a torrid last season, this win will make fans of the club happy.

Liverpool may have not bought much this season with their only purchase being centre back Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig but most of their important players are back from injury. The likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Mario have returned. Andy Robertson was not available, due to an injury he suffered during the preseason. He was replaced by Kostas Tsimikas. Newly promoted Norwich, who were last in the top division in 2019-20, played the young Chelsea loanee, Billy Gilmour. Teemu Pukki, who is Norwich’s most dangerous threat, also started the match.

Liverpool got their second when Sadio Mane’s shot deflected off to Salah who passed it to Roberto Firminho, who ran towards the front of the goalkeeper and provided the finishing touch at the 65th minute.

Then, finally, Salah scored the third goal when he got the ball from a defended Liverpool corner and cut inside the fox and shot a curler from his left foot to seal the match.

Norwich won’t have much to take away, other than the fact that they have to improve by a good margin, to stay in the Premier League. Liverpool will take away a lot of positives, especially Salah’s performance who was the man of the match with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Liverpool will face Burnley at Anfield next, while Norwich will face champions Manchester City in their next match.
