Liverpool is reportedly preparing to make a significant move for Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. According to sources from Japan, the Reds are ready to offer €65 million (£54.8 million/$70.7 million) for the Japanese star, which is €5 million more than his release clause.
This potential transfer would make Kubo the most expensive Japanese player in history. Additionally, the proposed deal includes a yearly salary of €15 million (~£240,000 a week), making Kubo the second highest-paid player in Liverpool’s squad.
If the transfer goes through, Kubo would not only set a new record for transfer fees for a Japanese player but also for his salary, highlighting Liverpool’s strong interest and investment in the talented winger.
