
On matchday 7 of the Premier League, Manchester City faced Liverpool in a top-of-the-table clash at Anfield.
The game started calmly as there were no goals scored at halftime but the game suddenly came to life in the second half with Sadio Mane opening the score for Merseyside Reds but manchester city scored a quickfire equalizer when Philip Foden scored a smooth counterattack. Then Mohamed Salah scored what might be one of the contenders for goal of the season by taking on 4 of man City player and scoring the goal with his weaker foot and taking the lead again only for Kevin De Bruyne to equalize for man city. Both Liverpool and Manchester City shared a point each which takes them second and third behind the league leaders Chelsea.
Klopp was full of praises for the Egyptian in his post-match press conference stating ” Only the best players in the world score goals like this. He then added “the first touch, the first challenge he wins then putting it on his right foot and finishing the situating was exceptional. “This club never forgets these things so people will talk about this goal for a long time, They will remember this goal for 50-60 years”.
The Egyptian has scored nine goals in all competition while six of those coming in the Premier League which takes him at top of the goal-scoring charts along with Jamie Vardy.
