Lionel Messi to miss next league game against Metz due to knee injury

Lionel Messi will miss PSG’s next league game against Metz after an MRI scan reviled bone bruising on his left knee.

The Argentina Lionel Messi will miss PSG’s next league game as they travel to Stade Saint Symphorien to face Metz on Wednesday. Messi will be out of action due to a knee injury as announced by the Ligue 1 leaders. The former Barcelona man underwent an MRI scan after he took a knock to his left knee which showed signs of bone bruising which was confirmed by the club’s medical bulletin. PSG have said that a further update will be provided in the next 48 hours after they visit 20th place, Metz. 

Besides the injury, The PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino update will have to consider the fact that his side has four upcoming matches in quick succession from the 23rd of September to the 3rd of October which includes a UEFA Champions League clash against the Premier League giants Manchester City in Group A. Before the European game, PSG will set out to face Metz and Montpellier in the French league. They will take to the field once again after the Man City game to travel to the Roazhon Park to face Rennes in Ligue 1 which will then be followed by an international break.
