Arsenal FC are ready to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton FC in this January transfer window. The deal will be sealed and signed in the coming weeks as reported by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, 19th January. Brighton’s manager Roberto De Zerbi had a dispute with the belgian forward and thus he decided not to include him in the matchday squad.
Trossard talked about the manager that he humiliated him and thus he doesn’t want to play under him any more. Because of this small dispute, both the player and the manager felt being apart is the only solution to this and thus Trossard sends the transfer request to the club.
Arsenal were very much interested in the player along with another Premier League club named Tottenham Hotspur. Hotspur also made a bid of €12 million to Brighton for the forward but the club rejected it as they wanted more money for the Belgian.
Arsenal FC decided to strike the deal and they made a bid of €21 million plus €6 million as add ons which was accepted by Brighton FC on Thursday and thus the deal between the clubs was agreed. Trossard is expected to come to London for his medicals and sign the contracts soon.
