In a surprising turn of events, Aymeric Laporte has reportedly wants to leave Manchester City in the summer of 2023. The French defender, who has been a key player for the Sky Blues since his arrival from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, is said to be seeking a new challenge.
Despite Laporte’s importance to the team, Manchester City are reportedly willing to let him go if the right offer comes in. Laporte has been a consistent performer for City over the past few seasons, but he has seen his playing time reduced this year due to the emergence of young defender Ruben Dias.
Laporte’s departure would be a blow to Manchester City, but the club has shown that they are willing to let players leave if they are not happy or if they want to pursue new opportunities.
