Lamine Yamal has suffered an injury in Barcelona’s last night’s game against Club Deportivo. Yamal has sustained a grade 1 injury to a ligament in the ankle and his 2024 is considered over. He is expected to be back by 3/4 weeks.
Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has suffered a setback after sustaining an injury in the team’s recent match against Club Deportivo. The 16-year-old forward, who has been a revelation for the Catalan giants this season, was forced off the pitch following an awkward challenge.
Medical reports confirm that Yamal has sustained a Grade 1 ligament injury in his ankle. While the injury is relatively minor, it will sideline him for three to four weeks, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of 2024.
Yamal’s absence is a significant blow to Barcelona, as his creativity and flair have been instrumental in their attacking setup. The club, however, is optimistic about his recovery and expects him to return to action in early 2025.
