Bayern Munich have signed Konrad Laimer as their newest player. The 25-year-old Austrian midfielder will begin playing for the club from July 1, 2023. The announcement of the player is still pending but the fans believe it is just a matter of time now.
Laimer started his professional football career at RB Salzburg, where he played for three seasons before moving to RB Leipzig in 2017. He has since become a key player for the club, helping them reach the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League in the 2019/2020 season.
Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic also expressed his delight at the signing of Laimer, stating that the club had been monitoring his progress for some time.
Laimer’s signing is a part of Bayern Munich’s long-term strategy to build a team that can compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe. The club has a rich history of success, having won the Bundesliga title a record 31 times and the UEFA Champions League on six occasions.
