Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick in the French Cup fixture helps him complete his 150th goal for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain is now qualified for the round of 16 of the French Cup. Their star forward Kylian Mbappe scored his 150th goal for PSG on Monday night as he completed his hat-trick in an 18 minute span in the second half.

Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick helps Paris Saint-Germain win the round of 32 game of French Cup against Vannes on Monday night. It was a pretty one-sided game for Mauricio Pochettino’s side as they didn’t let the home side score even a single goal. They came into the game as an away side but it never seemed that they are the visitors because they completely dominated the game and scored 4 goals without any reply.

Out of that four goals, Kylian Mbappe scored three and central-defender Presnel Kimpembe scored one to help PSG qualify for the next round, the round of 16 of the French Cup. They were against Vannes, the French football club. This team, Vannes plays in the Championnat National 2. Vannes is a fourth division team of French football. Thus, before the game, fans expected PSG to win and there was literally very little chance of Vannes to come out as winners in this fixture.

The scoreline at half-time was 1-0 to PSG as the only goal was scored by Presnel Kimpembe in the 28th minute. It was a decent half for the visitors. French forward Kylian Mbappe started scoring in the second half and he completed his hat-trick in very quick succession. The forward took only 18 minutes to score all his three goals starting from the 59th minute. With these three goals against his name, he has now scored 150 goals for the French club Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old now has a total of 201 career goals which also includes 24 International and 27 goals for his former club AS Monaco. Pochettino’s side is now through to the round of 16 of the French Cup and the way they are playing in this competition, right to say that they clearly are the strongest contenders to win this (French Cup).
