Kylian Mbappe has made history by becoming Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading goal scorer. The 23-year-old striker achieved this feat in a Ligue 1 match against Lyon, where he scored a hat-trick to take his tally to 201 goals in just 247 games. Mbappe broke this record in the game against FC Nantes on Saturday night, 4th March.
Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco in 2017 for a transfer fee of 180 million euros, making him the second most expensive player in football history. Since then, he has been a vital member of the team and has helped them win numerous domestic titles, including three Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups.
His performances on the field have been nothing short of exceptional, and he has earned numerous accolades, including the FIFA World Cup in 2018 with France. He has also won the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award twice in a row, in 2019 and 2020.
Mbappe’s achievement of becoming PSG’s all-time top scorer is a testament to his skill and hard work. He has surpassed the previous record set by Edinson Cavani, who scored 200 goals in 301 appearances for the club.
