Kerala Blasters’ thrash Chennaiyin FC by 3-0, jump to third place in the points table

Kerala Blasters’ moved up to 3rd place after they defeated their neighbors Chennaiyin FC by 3-0 on Wednesday in the Hero Indian Super League.

Ivan Vukomanovic’s Kerala Blasters is in great form this season as they are currently in third place in the Hero Indian Super League after they thrashed their neighbors Chennaiyin FC by 3-0 on Wednesday. The derby was really an exciting game to watch. Indian Super League is now holding its pace and the matches are now more exciting and thriller. However, it will not be a good night for the Chennaiyin FC fans as they conceded three goals in this match without any reply. Chennaiyin FC was playing their home game, but they were not up to the mark, thus they were punished by Ivan Vukomanovic’s men.


The opening goal came in just the 9th minute of the game when Kerala Blasters’ striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz strikes the ball into the net. Chennaiyin FC’s players were really sloppy and thus couldn’t able to take possession of the ball for too long. Meanwhile, the visitors were looking calm and composed and thus they were able to make quick passes whenever they got the ball. Blasters’ scored again in the 38th minute, but this time it was midfielder Sahal Samad who named himself on the scoresheet. The half-time score was 0-2 to Kerala Blasters.

The second-half didn’t change the scenario of the game and Chennaiyin FC was sloppy again and their defenders were too easy on the Blasters’ forward players. Due to this, visitors scored their 3rd goal and it really sealed the game for them. It was a mistake from the Centre-backs who didn’t clear the ball and gave it away to Blasters. Adrian Luna made no mistake and it was 0-3 to Kerala Blasters. It was a fantastic goal from the midfielder as he strikes the ball from outside the box and the ball went into the right bottom corner of the goal.
