Kerala Blasters FC is now unbeaten in the last 10 games after they defeated Odisha FC in the Hero Indian Super League on Wednesday. Ivan Vukomanovic’s men have regained their top spot in the points table after this victory at Tilak Maidan. They were the visiting team on Wednesday but never acted that way as they were dominating the ball and were successful in keeping a clean sheet. Kerala Blasters defeated Odisha FC by 2-0 as both the goals were scored in the first half only.
Since the referee’s whistle, Kerala Blasters were keeping possession which was expected from the team in excellent form. They also started creating some good chances but it wasn’t enough for them to take the lead against the host (Odisha FC). But, in the 28th minute, the first goal of the game came and it came from an Indian defender named Nishu Kumar. It was a brilliant goal by the Kerala Blasters’ left-back as it helped them take a massive lead against the team currently standing in the 8th position (Odisha FC).
Vukomanovic’s men did find another goal as again an Indian defender Harmanjot Khabra named himself on the scoresheet. The strikers went goalless in the game as both the goals which were scored in this match were from defenders. However, Khabra’s goal was the last goal of the game which came in the 40th minute. Odisha FC wasn’t bad they were just unlucky as they also created enough chances but couldn’t find the goal they were looking for.

With this victory, Kerala Blasters have overtaken Jamshedpur in the points table and have gone in the first position. Mumbai City FC who was dominating the table a few weeks ago, currently residing in third place with 17 points in 11 games. While there’s only a single point difference between Jamshedpur and Kerala. It will be interesting to see who remains on top till the end of the season.
