Real Madrid defeated Valladolid on Friday night, 30th December in the La Liga to earn three points. The three points earned them the top spot before the start of the next year. This was the last game for Real Madrid this year.
Real Madrid had an amazing year (2022) as they won so many trophies in this i.e. UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, La Liga. Real Madrid didn’t have a great game but somehow they managed to get the victory against Valladolid.
Two goals were scored in quick succession in the last session of the game. French striker Karim Benzema helped Real Madrid earn the top spot. Benzema scored a penalty in the 83rd minute before he makes it 2-0 for the Champions League defending champions in the 89th minute. It was a clinical finish from the Frenchman and it was assisted by his club and country teammate Camavinga.
Real Madrid are now at the top of the La Liga with 38 points in 15 matches they played this year. Barcelona on the other hand is on 37 points but they have one game in hand so Xavi’s men has a chance to go above Real Madrid if they win their next match.
