Juan Mata has no plans of retiring this season

Juan Mata will not retire at the end of the season and his contract at Manchester United will end in a few months.

Juan Mata, the midfielder of Manchester United will not be retiring at the end of the season. The contract of the 33-year-old Juan Mata will expire in the next few months. It has been suggested that Mata could call time off on his playing career. And take up a role at Old Trafford, on the sidelines.

Juan Mata has been at the club for over 8 years and has made 278 appearances but in recent seasons he has seen his game time decrease rapidly. He has only made four appearances in all competitions this season.

According to the Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Spaniard has not been interested in retirement this summer. And he will not be joining the coaching staff of United. Fabrizio tweeted on his official account that Juan Mata will not retire at the end of the season and it is not even an option. Juan Mata is now focusing on Man United and then he will plan for his future,- Juan’s current deal with Manchester United runs out in June.

The Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano also included at the end of his tweet that Mata will not join the coaching. As it is not his plan to join the Manchester United coaching staff.
