Jordi Alba set to play for FC Barcelona until June 2024

Jordi Alba’s contract with FC Barcelona runs until the end of next season. But the Spanish full-back hopes for a contract extension until June 2024. Jordi Alba said, “I want to stay in Barcelona until June 2024. It’s my top priority.”

Jordi Alba also addressed many rumors associated with him in the media. He said, “Many lies have been told in the press, but in the end, I have always been there; no one can say otherwise. Of course, some things hurt, but you have to know how to live with it. I know my truth, and I am very calm. I intend to help the club and that both parties are happy.” He also said he would be ready to take a pay cut. “If Barcelona asks me to reduce my salary, I would do it.”
On 28th June 2012, FC Barcelona signed the left-back from Valencia for 14 million. After that, Jordi Alba signed a five-year contract with FCB. Since then, the Catalonian has made 303 appearances and scored 16 times for the Catalonian side.
