Defender Jonathan Tah has confirmed that he is going to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming summer transfer window. The centre-back has already made a decision and there are a lot of European clubs eyeing for his services for the next season.
The German international has decided against extending his contract, attracting attention from several top European clubs ahead of next season.
Speaking about his future, Tah told Fabrizio Romano: “Everything was said from the start. There was a point in time when I made the decision not to extend my contract and not to stay here at Bayer Leverkusen.”
Tah, who has been a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s impressive squad, is now set for a new challenge after years of consistent performances in the Bundesliga. With his contract winding down, the 28-year-old centre-back is expected to be a hot prospect on the transfer market this summer.
