
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda at Margao will host the Indian Super League (ISL) final on March 13, organizers declared on Wednesday.
The first-leg semi-finals will be held at two settings- GMC Stadium here – on March 5 and 6. The return legs are booked for March 8 and 9 at similar settings.
Football Sports Development Limited said in a release, “The ‘Away Goal’ rule won’t have any significant bearing in semi-finals this season. Groups with most significant standard total in their individual two-legged ties will advance to the last.”
The last game is scheduled between current league leaders ATK Mohun Bagan (36 points) and second placed Mumbai City FC (34 points). The league phase ends on February 28.
FSDL said, “The season saw Hero ISL expand to 11 teams, the number of matches going up from 95 last season to a phenomenal 115.”
“This has been perhaps the most firmly battled seasons ever with exciting a minute ago completes in various games. Eight groups actually stay in dispute for a main four complete the process of, heading into the last three rounds of the league stage.”
