James Rodriguez comments on return to European football and Luis Diaz

The Colombian Midfielder has confirmed his plans to return to European football.

Colombian-attacking midfielder and Former World Cup Golden Ball winner James Rodriguez who joined Qatari side Al-Rayyan after an unsuccessful stint in the Premier League with Everton has commented on his situation and also talked about his Colombian teammate and current Liverpool player Luis Diaz.

According to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, James stated that the transfer market will open soon in the summer and returning to elite European football is a serious possibility so let’s see who wants that left foot again.

The Former Real Madrid midfielder Rodriguez joined the Qatari club in distress in an 8 million move after an underwhelming stint with Everton in the EPL. However, the move has not planned out how he wanted and his is heart set out on a return to Europe. He is looking to leave his current club Al-Rayyan soon even though he has scored five goals and assisted a further seven in the 14 games.

When asked about the UEFA Champions League finals, Rodriguez stated that even though he has many friends in Real Madrid and he previously played for the club, they will be facing a difficult team for this type of match and this time he would want Liverpool to become champions and lift the coveted trophy. He added that he wants his fellow Colombian-teammate ‘Lucho’ (Luis Diaz) to win the Champions League and he is happy to see the success Diaz is getting with Liverpool in the Premier League after moving from FC Porto in the January transfer window.
