AS Roma’s manager, Jose Mourinho, recently admitted that the 2023/24 Serie A season has witnessed the worst beginning ever for both himself and the club. As the team wished for Serie A glory ahead of this season, their journey has been started by inconsistency, leaving fans and experts with raised eyebrows.
The statistics speak for themselves. After six games into the season, AS Roma has secured only a single win. A glance at the records reveals three defeats and two draws, making out that a team struggling to find its way in the fiercely competitive Italian top flight i.e. Serie A.
For Mourinho, renowned for his tactics and touchline words and guidelines, this start must undoubtedly be a source of frustration. Having taken the reins at AS Roma, the Portuguese tactician was expected to bring success to the club but however he has won the UEFA Conference League and reached the finals of UEFA Europa league last season.
