Italy moves fifth while Argentina sixth in FIFA rankings following their championship triumphs

Italy has grabbed 5th and Argentina climbs up to 6th rank after their victory in Euro 2020 and Copa America.

The new world ranking for FIFA got developed after the great victories of team Italy at Euro 2020 and Argentina grabbing their trophy at the Copa America with Belgium still standing at 1st rank.

The Italy National Team after defeating England on penalties in the European Championship climbed up to two spots when they conquered the game at Wembley. Also, Argentina winning their Trophy for the legend Lionel Messi as his wait of 28 years was finally over after leading his team to the first major International trophy got two spots up to 6th rank by beating Brazil with a score of 1-0. Brazil moved into second place whereas world champions France got moved down to the third spot.

Though Belgium was knocked out in the quarter-final by Italy it still maintains its first rank while England is in the fourth position after having their place in the Finals. The United States had great success in their ranking as they moved straight up to 10 places at 10th rank after winning CONCACAF Gold cup while Mexico got two points up having their ninth place.

The highest success is for Qatar as they had a glorified season in the Gold-Cup as they reached the semi-finals and moved up by 16 spots to grab rank no. 42 with their highest ever ranking. The new ranking will be published on September 16.
