Manchester United’s thrilling encounter against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, goalkeeper Andre Onana stepped up to take up the responsibility for the team’s 4-3 defeat. Onana, who recently joined the Red Devils, acknowledged that his performance in the game fell short of expectations and expressed a determination to learn from the experience.
“It’s my responsibility, because of me we didn’t win — and I have to learn from it,” admitted Onana. His words showed a rare display of professionalism in the world of football, where it’s often easy to point fingers and deflect blame.
Onana, who arrived at Manchester United with high hopes and a great reputation from Inter Milan, acknowledged that his initial performances for the club had not lived up to expectations.
