ISL: NorthEast United struck with two positive COVID-19 cases

ISL team NorthEast United’s training has come to a standstill as two players in the squad have tested positive for COVID-19. According to the ISL guidelines, if any member of a team tests positive for the coronavirus, the entire team goes into temporary quarantine.

This news broke out just after NorthEast’s 2-1 pre-season friendly win over FC Hyderabad.

The club will be hoping that none of the other members in the squad have also contracted the virus, meanwhile also hoping that the two players who have tested positive also recover as soon as possible.

NorthEast United are set to take on Mumbai City FC on the 21st of November, 2020 in their season opener at the Tilak Maidan.
