ISL – Kerala Blasters likely to appeal against AIFF’s disciplinary action

From April 8th, the Blasters will play in the Super Cup against ISL and I-League teams.

AIFF’s Disciplinary Committee fined Kerala Blasters Rs 4 crore for walking off the pitch and forfeiting their ISL playoff match against Bengaluru FC on March 3 after they walked off the pitch.

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee – chaired by Vaibhav Gaggar, directed the Blasters to issue a public apology for abandoning the match, failing which the total fine would be increased to Rs 6 crore. The club has yet to announce its official response to the national body’s decision. However, Sportstar claims Blasters will appeal to the national body’s conclusion.

According to the disciplinary committee, the Blasters and Vukomanovic must comply with this order within one week. The club and head coach may, however, appeal the decision.
