
Goals from Sunil Chhetri and Cleiton Silva helped Bengaluru FC secure a 2-1 win over Odisha FC. Chhetri’s bullet header in the 38th minute opened the scoring for The Blues, making him the first Indian in the history of the ISL to complete 50 goal contributions (42 goals 8 assists).
Odisha FC did not look threatening at all in the first half, registering no shots on target. They did come out a better team in the second half as Steven Taylor equalized for The Kalinga Warriors in the 71st minute with a simple tap in.
Within 7 minutes, Cleiton Silva scored the winner to seal 3 points for the Blues that takes them to 3rd place in the league table. Odisha FC on the other hand are yet to win a game this season with only 1 point in 6 games.
