This will be a blow to the hopes of the Irish, as they look to avoid relegation from Group B4 in the UEFA Nations League.
The Ireland squad has been riddled with injuries to a few of the main players such as Seamus Coleman, John Egan and Enda Stevens.
Matt Doherty will most likely also be unavailable for club duty as Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester City on Saturday which might prove to be a major blow to Jose Mourinho’s side who currently sit 2nd in the Premier league.
Ireland’s next Nations League game is up against Bulgaria on Thursday, November 19.
