Inter Milan’s road to Coppa Italia final

Inter MIlan beat rivals AC Milan 3-0.

The famous Milan Derby played between Italian rivals Inter and AC Milan was won impressively by Inter Milan. Simone Inzaghi’s side defeated AC Milan 3-0 in the second leg of their Coppa Italia quarterfinal. Inter went to their first domestic cup final since the 2010-11 season on Tuesday, defeating AC Milan 3-0 on aggregate after a 0-0 draw in the first leg last month.

The action started early in the starting moments of the match as AC Milan was paced by Lautaro Martinez’s goal in the 4th minute. In the 40th minute, Martinez completed his brace. The Rossoneri suffered an unfavourable outcome thanks to a late goal from Robin Gosens in the 82nd minute.

The Nerazzurri had fewer opportunities and saw less of the ball than Milan, but they were far more effective, and Inzaghi’s men also defended effectively when it mattered, leaving little room to work within the box. Even though AC Milan had some chances they failed to challenge Samir Handanovic consistently. The two sides are still in contention for the Serie A title as the season comes to a close.

Inter will now face either Juventus or Fiorentina in the Final. The second leg between Juventus and Fiorentina is set to be played today with Juventus going into the match with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg.
