Indian women’s football team sights for the first win of the year with a friendly match against UAE

The Blue Tigress team have not been winning since the last five games so far this year, despite being against the top European teams.

On Saturday, the Indian women’s football team look forward to seeking their first victory as they were without a single win this year as they lost against the big elite European teams. They will lock horns against Uthe United Arab Emirates in an international friendly match which will determine the performance of both teams. India currently ranked No 57 in the tournament, they would de look to put an instant impact on the game when they play against Rank no 100, the United Arab Emirates in the course for the preparation of the AFC Asian Cup which is due to happen in January 2022.

Coach Thomas Dennerby’s will be hoping that the Indian women’s team show some level of spirit and confidence during the remaining games throughout the tournament. Their chances of preparing well for the Asian Cup is very minimal as they haven’t won a single match yet and will be looking to provide their first victory on Saturday.

Talking about the team’s practice preparations and alternative sessions, Thomas Dennerby in an interview in Jamshedpur also mentioned “We are putting a lot of effort into all the sessions. We do five technical and tactical sessions, we do running sessions, we also play friendly games against local sides. We are training hard for the Asian Cup next year,”

The Indian Women’s football team is hoping to have a good number of wins before the preparation for the AFC Asian Cup which is due to happen next year from January to February. These young talented players will dry to show their passion and their confidence so that one day they can make our nation proud.
