Indian Women’s Football squad back from Brazil for AFC Asian Cup camp in Kochi

Indian Women’s Team returns to India after their Brazil trip and is set to attend the camp for AFC Asian cup 2022, in Kochi, Kerala.

Indian Women’s Football Team returned from their Brazil Tour, which was held between 26th of November to 2nd of December at Manaus, Brazil. The Torneio Internacional da futebol Feminino was hosted by Brazil, where Team India faced off three teams in total, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela.

These matches bring a lot of precious experience to the Indian Women’s Squad, stated by the Head Coach of Squad Thomas Dennerby. After their tour in Brazil, now Team India is all set to start with their camp for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2022. The tournament will take place in India next month, from 20th of January to 6th of February in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune.

The Tanning camp of the Indian Women’s Team for their forthcoming AFC Asian Cup is set with the infrastructural and logistical aid in Kochi, Kerala. The Government of Kerala not only holds and look after the management of the Camp but also currently hosting the Senior Women’s National Football Championship.

The Organization decided the squad of 27 players for the Camp in Kerala, the list of the players are: –

Members in Goalkeeper’s squad: Aditi Chauhan, Maibam Linthoingambi Devi, Panthoi Chanu, Sowmiya Narayanasamy and Shreya Hooda.

Members in Defender squad: Dalima Chhibber, Sweety Devi, Wangkhem Linthoingambi Devi, Ritu Rani, Ranjana Chanu, Manisa Panna, Ashalata Devi and Michel Castanha.

Members in Midfielder Squad: Kamala Devi, Martina Thokchom, Anju Tamang, Ratanbala Devi, Sanju, Indumathi Kathiresa, Karthika Angamuthu and Sandhiya Ranganathan.

Members in forwarding Squad: Dangmei Grace, Karishma Shirvoikar, Pyari Xaxa, Soumya Guguloth and Manisha.
