According to a well-known English daily, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has entered the race to buy the famous English football team Liverpool FC.

The Merseyside club’s current owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who bought the team in October 2010, have reportedly hired Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to help them sell the team. The English Premier League powerhouses have been placed on the market. After the club’s current owners, FSG, decided to put it up for sale, Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, is reportedly considering a bid to purchase Liverpool.
