Indian Men’s Football FIFA Ranking revealed

The Blue Tigers hold on to their 104th spot in the table, as Belgium retains the number 1 spot.

The Indian Men’s Football Team ranked 104th in the latest FIFA Men’s Ranking of February. The ranking remains unchanged for the Indian side after they ended on the same spot in the December rankings.

The announcement of the International friendlies for the Blue Tigers against Belarus and Bahrain in March have been welcomed by the side, which will give a great stage for our players to play against such great opposition.

The Blue Tigers will start their third round of the AFC Asian Cup qualifier in February and the six matches of the qualifiers will be played between February and September. After winning the SAFF Championship in October last year the Indian side will look to qualify for the Asian Cup and advance through the knockout phase just unlike last year.

After Senegal won their maiden CAF Africa Cup of Nations title last weekend, The Lions of Teranga are climbing up the steps in the FIFA rankings and have reached the 18th spot in the February edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, which is their best ever position in the table.

There was action beyond the AFCON as there were some changes in the Top 5 rankings due to the results during the International break which affected the rankings. After the International break, Argentina took the 4th spot from England now who is in 5th place, after successful results in the South American qualifiers. The number one team Belgium remains in the pole position chased by Brazil on number 2nd spot unchanged and France on 3rd place unchanged.
