He further rubbished all the reports claiming that the Italian is all set to be the new manager of Brazil’s national football team. He said “that doesn’t matter. I’m very happy here. I have a contract until 2024. Our Brazilian players don’t ask me about this, they joke about these rumours”

Multiple reports suggested that Real Madrid would consider changing the managerial post if the Italian failed to win the Club World Cup. On the other hand, it was also said, as per reports, Carlo Ancelotti has said yes to the managerial post in Brazil’s national football team, which is currently vacant.

On 11th February 2023, as reported by ESPN Brazil, no formal agreement was reached, but Ancelotti responded positively to the CBF’s interest. The report further quotes the Brazilian Football Confederation. “The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) states that the news related to the coach of Real Madrid, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, is the new coach of the Brazil national team is unfounded,”

“President Ednaldo Rodrigues stands by the statements given on 8th February 2023 after the draw for the matches in the Copa do Brasil. At the time, the president ruled out speculation, saying that the matter will be dealt with transparently and that the coach chosen will be announced at the right time.”

The 63-year-old Italian was appointed as Real Madrid’s manager for the second time on 1 June 2021. Incredibly, Carlo Ancelotti guided Real Madrid to their 14th Champions League triumph and won La Liga last season. Also, in his first spell at Real Madrid, the club won the La Decima on 24 May 2014.
