Manchester City have been qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League (2022/23 season) on Tuesday night, 14th March after defeating RB Leipzig in the round of 16 second leg. It was an amazing performance from the Premier League’s defending champions and their striker Erling Haaland.

Erling Haaland scored 5 goals in the game, becomes only the 2nd player in history to register 5 goals in a knockout game of UEFA Champions League. Haaland had one of the best games in blue jersey as he was about to score a double hat-trick before he was substituted. He wasn’t happy as he wanted to score 6 goals in the game.

“I’ve told to Pep Guardiola when I went off, I would love to score a double hat-trick! But what can I do? I really love this competition, I love Champions League,” said Erling Haaland in the post match interview as reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official Twitter handle.
