As Goal.com reported, Robert Lewandowski intends to stay at Barcelona for a long time, as the prolific Polish striker shows no signs of slowing down at 36.
During the summer of 2022, the experienced forward completed a move to Camp Nou, ending an eight-year tenure with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. Although Lewandowski is under contract with Catalunya until 2026, he has been instrumental in helping Barcelona reach the top of the La Liga table. As a result, he believes he can compete at the highest level for several more seasons.
Lewandowski says, “I don’t think about how many years I’ll be at Barca. I still believe I can play a few more years at a high level, but I don’t know how many. It won’t be one or two. I hope I can stay here for many years. Now I understand the meaning of Mes que un Club.”
Lewandowski has recorded 25 goals in 31 appearances for Barca across all competitions after scoring 344 goals in 375 games for Bayern Munich.
The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker have also claimed that Barcelona is much more than a club. He stated, “here in Barcelona, I now fully understand the meaning of More than a Club. When you are inside and see how everything works, how people work, and how you care for yourself, you understand precisely what it means to be part of More than a Club.”
