The visitors made a comeback in the game to secure important three points which sees them on top with 23 points. Kerala Blasters FC remains in second place with 20 points but they still have 2 games in hand which means they can go back to the top again if they win all their remaining games.
The scoring started just before half-time when the host take the lead. It was Jerry Mawihmingthanga who scored the opening goal for Odisha FC and gave them the lead they deserved. Hyderabad FC made a strong comeback in the game to earn 3 points. In the 51st minute, the visitors found the equalizer after Joel Chianese’s shot beats the host’s goalkeeper. Joao Victor also named himself on the scoresheet in the 70th minute when Hyderabad FC scored their second goal. Three minutes after that goal, Akash Mishra scored his first to make the scoreline 3-1 to Hyderabad.

That goal decided the result of the game as Odisha FC was now two goals down with just 17 minutes left on the clock. However, Odisha FC’s striker Jonathas pulled one goal back but it wasn’t enough for the host to take three points from the game and thus Hyderabad FC was victorious after the final whistle.
