Have a look at Champions League finalists Real Madrid & Liverpool head to head records

UEFA Champions League final: Liverpool vs Real Madrid head-to-head records.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are two of the greatest accomplished teams in the UEFA Champions League, and their previous encounters have been nothing but dramatic. On May 28, Real Madrid and Liverpool will face for the ninth occasion.

The latest edition of one of European soccer’s finest prestigious contests will take place at the Stade de France. The Champions League trophy will be handed to the victor. Real are vying for their 14th European Cup, whilst Liverpool is seeking their seventh.

Liverpool and Real Madrid have a cumulative 19 European Cup crowns and rich international heritage. And how many occasions have they met in Europe’s top club contest, however, what have those encounters passed? With 8 meetings overall, Real Madrid is leading the head to head stats with 4 wins followed by 3 triumphs of  Liverpool and an alone draw.

The pundits consider Liverpool as the heavy favourite for the finale, but heritage favours Real. Madrid has captured four of their past eight meetings versus Liverpool, with Liverpool winning three and tying one. Real has tallied ten goals and allowed eight over Liverpool.

Real has gone undefeated in their past five games versus the Reds, who had claimed the first three encounters between the two sides. Real and Liverpool have faced twice in the past in European soccer’s greatest showdown.  Liverpool overcame Real in the European Cup final in Paris in 1981, with Alan Kennedy netting the lone goal.

Real got their payback in the 2018 Champions League final in Kyiv, wherein Gareth Bale netted twice in a 3-1 triumph. Karim Benzema also netted in the 2018 finale, and with four strikes, he is the all-time top goalscorer in Real-Liverpool meetings.
