Graham Potter explains why Aubameyang dropped from Champions League squad

Chelsea were held by Fulham in the English Premier League on Friday night.

Chelsea couldn’t win their first game after the January transfer window of 2023. Chelsea were held to a disappointing draw in the game against Fulham. Chelsea posted their UEFA Champions League squad for the rest of their campaign which includes Round of 16, quarter-finals and firther knockout stages.

They made a lot of changes in the squad as they brought in new players like Joao Felix, Mykhaylo Mudryk, and Enzo Fernandez and dropped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. There was a lot of questions raised by the fans and the media on why Aubameyang was left from the UEFA Champions League squad.

After the game against Fulham, Chelsea’s manager Graham Potter was asked by the media about this and he answered it patiently. Graham Potter feels it is unfortunate and he also claimed that there is no dispute between him or the former Arsenal’s forward.

Graham Potter felt that Aubameyang will have to prove himself if he wants to be in the team.

“Pierre has done nothing wrong at all, no problem, It’s just unfortunate and Aubameyang will fight for his place until the rest of the season,” said Graham Potter as tweeted by Fabrizio Romano.
