Goals from Martial and Fred guide Manchester United to the Carabao Cup final

Manchester United will play Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Manchester United have also won the second leg against Nottingham Forest by 2-0 and this time it was Anthony Martial and Fred Rodrigues who guided Manchester United to the Carabao Cup finals. Manchester United were playing at their home Stadium Old Trafford.

Manchester United scored two goals in the game and both came in the second half. It was not a pretty good half for the home fans as they couldn’t get the lead. Manchester United tried hard in the second half and they were surely the better team in the whole game. They were already leading by 3-0 as they won it in the first leg last week.


The first goal of the game was scored by Anthony Martial who came back from a short-term injury. Anthony Martial’s left foot was exquisite to give the deserved to the host. Later in the half, Fred scored the winning goal which confirmed Man United’s ticket to finals. The final will be played between Manchester United and Newcastle United on 26th February at Wembley Stadium.
