Martins came to be a vital backpack for Juan Ferrando’s club in the second half of the prior ISL event coming after a deadline-day shift in January from ATK Mohun Bagan. The midfielder appeared in starting XI for 12 of 14 matches for FC Goa that involved five of the six AFC Champions League games the ISL club played in April.
“It is really exciting for me and my family to sign a three-year deal with the club,” said Martin through the official FC Goa website.
“I have grown so much here at this club in a very short time, both on and off the pitch. I would like to think that I am now more aware of what is expected of me, I know what I need to bring to the table.”
FC Goa manager Ferrando conveyed pleasure over the growth and said: “I am happy to have him now back in the team for the long run. He is a real professional who improves our team.
