Gareth Bale is set to go to the USA to play in MLS. He is signed by Los Angeles FC on a free transfer and a major part of the paperwork is done and dusted. Bale will be a free agent by the end of this summer as his contract at Real Madrid is about to come to an end. He has signed a contract till June 2023 and an option to extend the contract is also included in the deal as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Gareth Bale is one of the most honoured players in the history of Real Madrid. He has played a pivotal role in the club’s success in the last decade. He was a part of the famous BBC trio of Real Madrid which included Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. The 32-year-old winger has had plenty of success at Madrid. He had joined Madrid in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur. With Real Madrid, Bale had won the decorated Champions League 5 times. Apart from this he also had 3 La Ligas, 4 Club World Cups and 3 Spanish Cups to his name.

Bale is a huge sporting icon for Wales. He started his career as a left-back and eventually, he went on to dominate the right-wing position. He is the main reason that Wales qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This is the first time they are reaching the World Cup since 1958. The 32-year-old has played a total of 258 matches for Real Madrid and has scored 106 times and assisted 67 times which is quite impressive. He was linked to many other clubs like Cardiff City FC and Getafe but in the end, he decided to go to the USA and try out his set of skills.
