The Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new contract at Arsenal FC on Thursday, 2nd February. Arsenal have also announced this news on their official website and social media handles. It was a great news for the Arsenal fans as they wanted the forward to stay at the club for long.
Before the January transfer window opened, it was rumoured that Chelsea was looking for the Brazilian winger as they wanted the winger desperately but the player himself ruled out the move in an interview by saying he loves playing with Arsenal and under Mikel Arteta.
Martinelli is one of the important players for Arsenal this season and thus the team has progressed well. Arsenal are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table and could also be crowned champions if their form continues like this. Gabriel Martinelli’s new contract is valid until June 2027. It means it is a a new 4 and a half year contract.
