Four more players test positive for COVID-19 at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Andriy Lunin and Rodrygo add to the list of COVID-19 positive players at Real Madrid. Earlier yesterday, the club had reported about Luka Modric and Marcelo.

Four more players were added to the list of COVID-19 positives at the Spanish football club Real Madrid namely, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Andriy Lunin and Rodrygo. Earlier yesterday, the club had reported about the same for their midfielder Luka Modric and left-back Marcelo. Davide Ancelotti, the assistant coach also sampled positive, stated the club via their official site on Thursday. This was their third COVID-19 announcement within just two days. The players are now isolated and forced to not appear in the La Liga fixture against Cadiz that is scheduled for Sunday. Thirteen times UEFA Champions League winners Los Blancos are at the top of the league table as of now with 42 points in 17 games followed by Sevilla at number two.

The football world has been reporting several positive cases because of which, Premier League had to suspend many fixtures. The football clubs have been lacking players because of the virus. Real Madrid also had to postpone their Team A training session that was scheduled for Thursday in the morning.

Valencia also reported four positive cases on Monday that involved their head boss and two players. The club had to close down its basketball team for a week following the virus outbreak.
