FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Adidas unveils official match ball named Al Rihla

Adidas introduced Al Rihla the official match ball for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on Wednesday and 32 teams are set to battle for this most prestigious trophy in international football.

On Wednesday Adidas revealed Al Rihla, as the official match ball for FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar. Adidas the sportswear giant, is the official manufacturer of the match ball for the 14th successive time. Adidas has claimed that the Al Rihla, the official match ball travels faster in flight than any other previous World Cup ball.

Al Rihla is an Arabic word that means “the journey”. This unique ball is inspired by the Unique architecture, boats, and the national flag of Qatar. For the first time, the world cup match ball was named Al Rihla, to provide sustainability created purely from water-based ink and glue. The ball will out for sale from 30th March, exclusively on adidas.com and the company’s retail store with 1 per cent of all its sales going to the common goal movement.

The 22nd edition of FIFA World Cup Competition 2022 will be in November in Qatar. 32 teams are set to battle for this most prestigious trophy of the FIFA World Cup. 27 teams out of 32 have confirmed their spots for the FIFA World Cup 2022. By the time of the draw on 1st April and only 3 sports will remain unconfirmed.
